Lost Playing Position
I started a Historical Sim in 1887, 1st year of the Pittsburg Alleghenys. I completed a draft which included Paul Hines. I've played through 1891 and just starting the 1892 season. When I drafted Paul Hines and up through the start of the 1891 season he had 1B and CF listed as positions he could play. I noticed at the end of the 1891 season for some reason he now is only listed as 1B. If I go into his editor it shows that he has 200 experience at both 1B and CF. His resulting rating for 1B is 34 but CF is 0. I did a Google search on him and found that he retired in July of 1891. Not sure if that has any bearing on it. Anyone have an idea of what happened. TIA

His Outfield ratings (range, error, arm) probably went down so far that the rating for CF would be 0. Try going into the editor and then increase the Outfield ratings that should fix the problem.

That did the trick. Normally I try not to adjust the values except for morale when I move a player inadvertently. But I adjusted them up a little an it fixed the problem. He's still a decent hitter but was hoping to play him in the field as well. Thanks for the help.
