Daryl Strawberry has heart attack...recovering
Daryl could use some happy thoughts, prayers, etc. I know Daryl was far from a model human being. Don't kick the man when he's down.

Oy! He was being interviewed on SNY during a spring game like a week ago. Didn't think he looked very good then either.
Please keep it together, Straw.

Happy Birthday, Darryl! (62 today.) Not how I would choose to celebrate, but whatever works, I suppose.
Also good to read (in the other NY Post articles) about Straw's work in helping Barry Lyons lay off the Jack Daniels, and that the Mets will be retiring Darryl and Doc's uniform #s (separately) this season. Hope his health issues won't impair his ability to attend, but of course that is less-important than the ongoing health. |

I live near St. Louis, in a far western suburb. So does Darryl Strawberry.
I see him every couple of years, in downtown St. Charles, and always go up to him and say hello. Uniformly, he is just as nice and pleasant as he could be. It IS odd to see a member of the Pond Scum living in the St. Louis area, but we don't hold that against him. https://www.gatewayredbirds.com/foru...ic.php?t=34527 Last edited by dsvitak; 03-12-2024 at 02:52 PM. |
