Starting with a Fantasy Draft?
Hello, I'm new to OOTP 18, and I was wondering if/how I'd be able to start off a league with all real players and teams, but fantasy drafting all the rosters. Does such a feature exist in the game? If so, I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to access it.

yes, during game creation in "game settings" nested pages there's a check box for inaugural fantasy draft.
no fears if you have set up a league and still want to do so. you can schedule one from League Settings - one of the blue functions there. believe top-left tile area. one note about real players and an inaugural draft -- it also dumps the real amatuers from at least that year's draft, if not more. so, adjust your strategy to the fact there will be a ton of excellent potential younger players -- more undeveloped the longer they last. SP go really fast... you'll see the common trends if you do a few of these. top flight SP are gone immediately, 1a guys not long after. an amazing closer will be available until 16-18ish(sometimes low20s). then, all the way until late 20's you can get a really good one. you can enjoy learning the rest of that stuff since so many prospects exist, start mixing in prospects early and you can make a monster team over the next 1-2-3 years. that won't preclude you from winning 100+ your first year, either. definiteyl get a strong team, first. maybe, 1-16ish? then finish off 25-man by 40 and you ahve 15 and counting amazing prospects -- hopefully a few can provide depths at AAA, but eventually the best prosepcts will all be lower-level ability. don't think of them as keepers, they will all be used to concentrate that talent into better players/prospects through numerous trades before you lose them. can't dally long... start finding transcendent targets and start pawning off mil prospects. i always go young on this stuff, as they age i'll be better informed on who to pay than trading for established mlb vets that cost a ton and might fall off mid-contract.
