Ratings
Can anyone tell me why my player ratings go from a 5 star rating to a 1 star rating in just one day. I traded for a 5 star rated ballplayer , and when the trade was done and he was in my system he dropped to a 1 star rating. Do I need to do something with my scouting?

I do not play with scouts so my information is just from reading what others have posted. The value should be rated as dubious at best.
1) Can you "rescout" the player? This could be a result of bad info from your scouts. 2) How is your scouting budget broken down? 3) The "Fog of War" that scouting provides can be very difficult for new players. If it is not fun for you then turn off scouting or set it to 100% accuracy. It will allow you to learn the game and then if you want the challenge you can always turn it back on later. Good luck, Tom

Scouting gets more accurate when a player is within your organization. If your scout isn't the greatest, chances are that he was really high on the guy until he actually got to see him play every day. The drastic drop-off in one day is OOTP's attempt to mimic this (in real life it would take a week or two to come to light).
