Opener/Follower in Playoffs
Wondering if anybody can help with this annoying problem. I'm in an online league and I use the opener/follower strategy. It works very well 90% of the time in the regular season as follows.
- 5 man rotation, set to strict order - The person I want to follow is left in the rotation and set to follower - The opener is given opener status and placed into the 7 day lineup as the starter 90% of the time my opener starts and the follower comes in However, for 3 seasons now, this exact same strategy in the playoffs doesn't work. I set it up the exact same way and more often than not, the opener opens and the follower in the rotation is ignored. Instead the game brings in one of my middle relievers and treats them as a follower (they aren't labelled a follower). What is more stupid, is that the guy in the rotation I listed as a follower often comes in during the 8th or 9th inning. What the hell is with this? Why would the game mechanics be different in the playoffs? Is this a bug? Any suggestions for how to make an opener/follower work properly in the playoffs? P.S. I don't just want random openers (like list 2-3 guys). I want specific openers to get the matchups I want. Thanks in advance! |
