So what does this mean?

PT21 - A brand new league structure with 2 new league levels and a single Perfect League. Can you become the ultimate Perfect Team champion?

There are two more league levels at the bottom, and only a single Perfect League at the top, made up of the previous season’s Diamond champions and Perfect playoff teams (everyone else gets relegated to Diamond).

Which makes my heart sing. I didn't come up with the idea but I thought it was awesome from the start. I've mentioned numerous times I thought this was a great way to go and the lads at OOTP have done it.

Hats off!! I keep an eye on my main PT every day and me and my buddy play a historical league every week. What a great game.

Yes it's good, but another way not good. Many players asked for a level above Perfect, not make Perfect the other level. I have not received an answer from my question, but I am assuming only the Perfect level champions will be recognized on a players card as is currently done.

It's just a name.

You can call it league 1-5 1-7 1-10.

Top is top. The point is there is one top league. Call it anything you want. Top teams stay, the rest are adios. I love it.

I agree.

This is what will be lost or very limited on player cards.

Probably not a big deal.

The Flyers randomly suggest 12. 12 Perfect Leagues instead of 1.

My reasoning: A weighing of +'s & -'s I did in some hyper-language inside my skull.

Same idea (limited top leagues) but...("One, huh?")

"One is the loneliest number..."

Yes, if it wouldn't be too much trouble.

Cool, thanks Matrix. I can't be the only one interested in what you have to say.

I doubt that can maintain just ONE perfect league if there are too many Diamond leagues?

Why one Perfect League is too few

Say there were...

500 Leagues x 30 teams x 50 simulated seasons over a year or so. That equals 750,000 total simulated seasons in the PT Universe.

1 Perfect League - 50 Perfect Champs (1 in 15,000 teams)
12 Perfect Leagues - 600 Perfect Champs (1 in 1,250 teams)
45 Perfect Leagues - 2,250 Perfect Champs (1 in 333 teams)

For reference, this week there will be 90 Perfect Champs or so out of 19,830 teams. (1 in 220 teams)

Is there something inherently wrong with making perfect league champion an exclusive club? The current system is like MLB stopping the playoffs after the division series and crowning everyone still standing World Champion.

They're not limited to just 30 teams in it, they can easily allow 60 or 90 or whatever if they want. Keep teams in PL that make the playoffs and relegate everyone else no matter how many teams it is.

Alright, if you're alright with 47 PL champions total to this point in the game.

If PT 2 had one PL champ every season, there would be 47 total to this point.

I know 80+ a week starts to feel a bit Unchallenging...but to go from 1 in 300 or so all the way to 1 a week & that's it...

Give me some credit, I'm just saying that the Universe is big enough that 1-20 PLs a week would be the same kind of much lower exclusive number if that's what you even want...

And I add that I think about 45 would be fine with me.

Obviously...we're going to have our differences. With one PL champ a week only one team wins & how much difference is there between like the week 1 champ (starting new with cards again) & the week 47 champ?

I pretty much think things are fine as they are but you know...it IS hard to say sometimes, I enjoyed PT 2.0, & not because of a bunch of perfect planning.

Yea, I'm more than fine with it myself. Call it Champions league, call it Perfect League, call it whatever you want. A single top league. I'll never win it but I don't really care. Withe added levels and a champions league I'm pretty stoked for 21.

Is this just from your point of view, Bailey? You have 21 championships total. Out of all the franchises in the PT Universe, I only count 9 or 10 with 20+...There are 19,830 different teams.

Right now, 90 PL championships will be awarded this week.
To shorten it to 1 PL championship would be to go from 1 in 220 teams to 1 in the entire universe.

Wasn't all good as far as this conversation until we got up over 50 Perfect Leagues and growing?

Plus, we are sort of limited to our point of view...10 PL championships is quite rare & you've earned more than double that. Congratulations!

I'm more concerned with the structure of some other things right now, ha.

But the difference statistically is the current system to about 1 in 1500 teams a week winning with a mere 12 PLs...

to an astronomically small 1 in 15,000 (or size of the entire universe) with only 1 PL.

Actually, I compared it, right or wrong, to the MLB...& even if you include their minor leagues, I don't think there are 16,000+ teams...kind of my point.
