Opposing players roles on the team cannot be defined.
Using the most recent build 20.8.73. I've started several new games and keep getting the same error. When I have commissioner mode unchecked, opposing players primary and secondary roles on the team are undefined. However, when I am in commissioner mode, the error disappears and all roles on all teams are defined. I have tried to update lineups and pitching staff using the the "actions" pull down menu. This is my first new game since the last update. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on solutions.

This is intentional. They are set, they are just hidden for teams you are not in control of.

So completely hiding this info really doesn't make sense. Perhaps for future versions the accuracy of this information could be tied to how good your scout is. |

Thank you. I thought I was checking/unchecking the wrong box somewhere.

I agree. I hadn't thought of tying it into scouting. It would make immersion more interesting.

I think this is more of a Perfect Team thing that doesn't really fit as well into single player GM mode. But the suggestion of tying it to your scout (and I would add the major league scouting budget to that) is a good one.

Why are changes being made for PT that alter the accuracy of the core sim? It is inaccurate that teams in 2019 wouldn't know how opposing teams are using their players. I could see some sort of "fog of war" for the early season, rookies and scouting ability but seeing as how any fan can open their newspaper before opening day and see how their home team roster is expected to be used, any "fog of war" should be pretty limited. Most of this stuff is common knowledge, especially if you follow the sport at all.
