Challenge Mode and perfect points
Any estimate on the release date of being able to get packs in challenge mode?
Also what was the reason for not having achievements in challenge mode not grant perfect points? Any plans to change this in the future? |

Anything that could earn you PP offline would be in danger of being hacked, and it would be done, hence this will never happen.
Regarding the pack rewards in Challenge Mode, we hope to have this done within the next 2 weeks. |

First, because not everyone plays Challenge Mode. I don't - I vastly prefer to have Commissioner powers in my league, as I do a lot of tinkering to make things more realistic and/or more fun for me as the years go on. And I get attached to my leagues, so I really don't feel like running two at once. Offering PP for achievements in Challenge Mode means I either abandon my current league, split my time between it and a new Challenge Mode game, or feel like I'm missing out on easy PP. It's not that this is inherently unfair, but it takes a bit away from the "play it your way" mantra of OOTP. Second, while a lot of achievements in Challenge Mode require you to be actively managing a game (i.e. not simming through wildly), it still creates an environment where a player who has a lot of time on their hands can sit down and blast through a season or two, earning a bunch of PP that someone who has maybe an hour or two to devote to the game doesn't have a chance to earn. Unlike above, this is inherently unfair, as the beauty of PT is the fact that PP is earned in the background, therefore active participation isn't required at all times to be competitive. EDIT: And apparently hacking. Last edited by Fyrestorm3; 11-08-2018 at 09:38 AM. |
