I use GIMP exclusively for creating my uniforms. You will need to use a template to change the color and make it turn out the way you want. Even with that, you won't have the team script, but you may be able to ask cephas if he will share that.

I guess I'm saying it is hard to do without the actual template cephas is using.

Unfortunately I don't save the script beyond what I have released. Too much to save.

Hard, yes. But not impossible.

IDK Gimp, paint or any similar free program, but if the script can be highlighted, then it can be copied and pasted into any jersey template. Then, all you have to do is give the jersey the right color(s), emulating the original home jersey and you're set.

Here's a couple of examples, using the first jersey cephas posted on this thread...

Just added the 1975-89 era uniform and logo sets. You can get them here: Uniforms and Logos 1975-89.rar This era is shorter than the rest because this is the "wild and crazy uniform" era. Posted in OP also.

I made a mistake with one of the uniforms in the 1975-89 era. The St. Petersburg Saints' hat and uniform have St. Augustine on them. So here are the corrections:

Images removed because Photobucket's changed policy.

Especially since almost all of the scripts will have a "shirt shadow" on all of them that will probably need to be lined up.

Not really. Why do you think I did only one?

Seriously, I like this sort of thing much better than extracting a larger script with a nice, even background. It's the challenge that I love and it's not as hard to do as it would seem, once you really get to know w/e program you're using.

Hmm...preferably, yes. Though jersey scripts, cap & team logos usually come out so small in game that the smaller, more subtle differences invariably get lost.

Guess it'd be a matter of making tests in-game, to see how a road or alt version of the jersey would look, when compared to your excellent home versions.

I'm creating a folder called "fictional ultimate", and saving all of this. In a month or so when the game is final, I'm digging in!

Well, things are advancing fairly well. If all goes as planned I should post the final era some time this week.

Great stuff!!

Have downloaded and set up a quick start with a 162 game season starting in 1871 - seems weird to have that many games with only 8 teams

I would be really interested in seeing other quickstarts/templates that others use (as well as what you use cephasjames) to set up their fictional world using the EXCELLENT graphics provided in this thread.

A big thanks and mucho appreciation from me!

Try this thread and go for less games 8 teams I would personally try for the 110-120 range.

No, but my wife is a Physician Assistant & I was pretty sure that was the wrong one when I typed it. I, however, am usually to lazy to check for correctness.

Thanks for pointing it out though. And by the way, I believe you meant "You're" as in "you are" a doctor as opposed to "your" as in the possessive form - meaning "the doctor I see"

Fixed the error in the other post.

I updated the "league logos and documents" zip. The league logos were not set up to automatically load in game (the naming was wrong) and I added a spreadsheet that lists all of the uniform and logo sets for each era. It can be downloaded here: league logos and documents v2.rar. Also posted in the OP.

As I said earlier in the thread, Cephas, this work is phenomenal. Your timelines are impeccable, too.

One question I have is whether you've considered the schedules you'll use by league for different years or eras. I've purused the xml schedule files, so I'm sure there are adequate schedules to cover most (if not all) of the leagues. I just wondered whether you'd thought it through in more detail.

(If anyone else is collating schedules for use with all these wonderful graphics, I'd enjoy hearing from you, too.)

Thanks.
