I am interested to hear some more detail regarding this feature. I have a Mac, so it won't affected me in the immediate future, but is this an addio style broadcast? If so, I think this is really a great idea. It would seemingly have the potential to help create a lot of immersion.

I agree. I believe it would be helpful for someone to post a video showing the TTS in action on windows 8. Supposedly, it is much better than on Win 7

I want it the other way around "Siri, can you warm up a lefty reliever for me"

She won't understand, but she can look it up on the internet.

This feature uses the TTS Narrator in Windows to read the PBP text. Nothing special other than that. The Narrator has trouble with certain PBP details, such as batting averages. A .300 hitter is a "point three zero zero hitter." So, it's far from perfect. But IMO it is better than having to sit and read all the text. Some of these issues might be resolved in a future patch. No guarantees, though. In addition, it's possible to disable the "pause after each play" option. Then, if you want to, you can just listen to the "broadcast." Kind of primitive, but it works.

Just out of curiosity for those of use who are living in the digital Stone Age and are still using Vista...will the TTS feature in OOTP 14 work for older versions of Windows?

Or even XP?
Yes, really, it still works as a charm...

It would be cool if you could bring in your own voice, i.e. read all the quotes and such and have it be you that calls the game, in whatever voice inflection you want. I know, silly, but cool idea IMHO.

I have Vista and OOTP13. What settings are used for narrator?

Thank you.
