Calendar view

Excited about OOTP18. One thing on my wish list (probably for 19 now) is a calendar view. One of the iconic visuals of baseball is publishing the annual schedule. They don't publish the schedule as a list of games (like OOTP currently does now). Rather they publish in a monthly calendar format. Home games are colored in blue. One can see the whole path of the season in calendar view. This key aspect of real baseball is missing from OOTP. This great game, for all its depth and power still is dominated by a "lists" interface. Adding a calendar view (as an option under teams, leagues menus) would go along way in improving the interface, the visual appeal of the game and bringing into the game a much loved and much used icon from the real world of baseball.

Thanks, BusterKing. This helps but this is not exactly what I had in mind. Two problems with the current implementation:
1. It is buried. It is not available in manager view where most of us or at least many of us spend our time. I am asking for an interface that makes the calendar view central (at least as an option) and becomes the active heart of the interface. I believe this would be a big visual enhancement of the game.
2. It is dead. You cannot sim or play games from the current calendar. I am asking for something active and alive.
I am suggesting something like this (my thanks to photoshop!):http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...attach/gif.gif

Not sure I'm ever on the manager screen. The calendar posted by Buster works for me. It's available from the team's transaction screen, the line-up screen, the rotation screen.

Is there a way to print a team schedule for the season, like the one they hand out on magnets at the beginning of the season?

I agree with the active part of the calendar.
I would like to be able to sim from it, enter a games line up and customize that days line up, set 1 game depth charts, view my projected line ups (based on my depth chart settings or 7 day line up settings), view the opponent's projected line ups based on their settings, etc.

Very nice ideas. I like this line of thinking.

Me too. I have it bookmarked along with all other screens that matter. I've found that certain bookmarks get you into a page that has relevant tabs or link that are useful so I end up using F keys for most of my navigating.

However I agree 100% with color coding home/away games etc. For this ADD brain flashing lights and sirens help immeasurably.

I suggested this a few years ago and it went nowhere. There did not seem to be much support or interest.
My interest is from MLB '05. I could almost run my team from the calendar. I loved it.
