Will FHM03 get a update rosters file after the March 1st trade deadline has passes?

Not, not going to be possible this year for a few reasons - we rewrote our (internally-used) editor last spring, which improved a lot of things, but the rewrite didn't reach the point where it included the old functionality to properly maintain alternate versions of the data that could generate new quickstarts. There have also been issues in the past with post-deadline rosters having such distorted cap hits (due to teams taking on a bunch of salary after accumulating cap space all year) that they cause major issues when you try to start the season with them; we've figured out a few workarounds for that, but it still leads to the AI doing some very weird and unrealistic things. Finally, we've already started to retool the database structure for FHM4, so the "live" version of the database that's being edited now is no longer usable in FHM3 and any changes we'd need to make to enable a new start for 3 would mean having to make a bunch of edits which wouldn't be carried forward to 4 (without a lot of extra work), which would be a waste.

On the bright side, not having to update transactions has freed up the researchers, me included, to focus more on the quality and depth of the starting rosters than we have in the past - that data has been getting weekly improvements since we released the game. The extra time has let us overhaul a lot of data that badly needed it - not all of that is in highly visible places in the game yet, but I'm hoping it'll let us include a bunch of interesting new stuff next year.

Edit: I should add that we may or may not do it this way again next year. We'll probably take a look at it closer to release. So far, though, there hasn't been much demand for updated rosters from us - I know I haven't had to answer this question often, which has been a bit of a surprise to me.
