Pitch Outs
Every year I'v played my team leads the league in stolen bases. But something I just realized is the AI only pitches out when I am attempting a steal.I don't always get caught. But the AI never "guesses" wrong

Same here, but be careful saying that. The people on this board will jump down your throat at the simple mention that something might be wrong with the game.

I have had the AI pitch out when I am not attempting to steal.

I stopped trying a straight steal and run and hit (option a) instead. I have never seen a team pitchout.

I haven't seen it either, but are you playing pitch-by-pitch? I'm not. Maybe it's happening and isn't being shown, because it's just a ball.

And also, it would only (theoretically) show in “long pbp”. Disclosure: I play one-pitch with short pbp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I switch to pitch-by-pitch when I'm attempting to steal a base. I see the AI guess wrong pretty frequently.

Same is true for the bunt, also. How does the 3rd baseman know to play in? I'm talking about the surprise bunt for a hit. Soon as I hit that button, the 3rd baseman is playing shallow. What is he clairvoyant? Even tested it with a batter who doesn't bunt. Has a lousy bunt rating. Has no business even trying to bunt. But sure enough, there he is, in shallow looking for the bunt. It's a complete joke that gets my head shaking. Now all the "I've never seen that". "That doesn't happen to me" comments will be coming. hahahahahahahaha Stealing is a joke, also. The AI has a crystal ball, I guess. Either that or the AI has the best sign stealers in the whole world. hahahahahahaha It's way to funny and even ridiculously funny at that.

Just happened to me today
but you're correct, it seems exceedingly rare.

Doesn't happen often but I've had the AI do a pitch out when I wasn't stealing. The catcher throwing to first base too. In single pitch mode I don't expect to see it often because I'm only watching one pitch out of many of each at bat. I mean if it's a 8 pitch at bat I'm only seeing the 8th one.

I play one pitch and it does seem the ai pitches out a ridiculously high percentage of times when I try to steal. Even in situations where a steal would not be likely, they still seem to guess right a remarkable number of times. I have tried run and hit, but too often the batter does hit so my steal attempt is thwarted. I may try switching to pitch by pitch in steal spots.
