I've had nothing as impressive as the players mentioned here already.
The only ones I can put forth are my Catcher, Cliff Jacobs, (who had a Mike Piazza-like year), and Clayton Kershaw, whom I rescued from the Dodgers and turned his career completely around (ERA 4+ the seasons previous to those). Last edited by Mennogreg; 01-24-2013 at 02:20 PM. |

Nice!! The pither i had stayed with us for 5 more seasons, picked up 3 more cy youngs (although a controversial one with a 15-9 record). We let him walk and he went to the pirates and was 17-8 his first year there.

I once had a player hit for the Triple Crown.
.366/.401/.670,229 hits, 53 home runs, 140 runs batted in, 132 runs scored. None of the games were simulated by the way. |

I've never seen this before - so knowing my luck this happens every year !!
My Ace SP Mr Strasburg was awarded a Triple Crown (Wins, Ks & ERA) Is this common ? (Would post the news item from the game but tapatalk keeps blocking me when I try to login using the app ?!?) Edit - tapatalk fixed Last edited by Disco Dog 13; 02-21-2013 at 07:20 AM. |

Not common, but I've had a few. Had one pitcher, Antonio Chaves win the triple crown last year (2145) with a 24-2, 2.20 ERA, 277K year (in a 150 game season).
Got another player, Pedro Bostos, started as a SS, has played 3B, 2B, and 1B too in his 21 year career. Currently has 782 HRs. Was hoping to get him to 800, he had 26 last season at 40 to get to 779, but his ratings fell off the proverbial cliff this year and he only managed 3 more. Don't know if he'll retire yet, I had a guy who kept playing to 45 a few years ago, but I doubt he gets the last 18 HRs he needs. Had two 50 HR seasons, eleven 40 HR years, and aside from his rookie season and the current one, never hit less than 20. |

While doing a historical replay, I had a fictional pitcher post this season:
36-2 1.75 ERA 339 K's Ty Cobb has also had four consecutive years hitting over .400, with his best season being .418/23/121 |
