I agree Rosco all the names are muslim names and everyone of us know Israeli names are NOT muslim especially the ones who play baseball

I hate to say it but I ask the guys if they corrected the name set for Israel each year but I ask it in a different way each year. Still not done ... I hope this name set works for you for I think I am adding it to my game the wrong way. And I don't know if I can do this in the middle of season as well. The instruction as I got it is on the thread too but I think I got it wrong or as each version comes along the names of files or location has changed or again I'm looking in wrong spot

How do I tell the computer to look at name set 39 when it makes an Israeli player?

Rosco I don't know enough about this that I don't want to mess this game up so I don't try without making 100% sure I know how to do this ... I did think he meant to say to delate all the ones that say 39 on it then add the names from the 2 files on the other thread I shared. I wasn't sure as I kept forgetting to respond to the guy ever since that time LOL oh well.

Yes I know that, but right now the game looks at 39 when it wants a name from the early history of America. I was wondering how I tell it to look there instead when I want an Israeli name

Rosco I would suggest asking the person in that thread and if you get a good response you can share it with myself and Padreman and then we can get it to work hopefully. This is the kind of thing I have zero clue on ... sorry no help there

Arabs make up 20% of the Israeli population but I agree probably would be very little in an Israeli baseball team. This is similar to the South African baseball team where despite being in the majority black African names would be sparse.

It’s not only that but it’s other things to for example Haiti is a mostly black nation. White and mulattos only make up 6% of the population. The other night I was checking to see how many Haitians I had in my game I had 61 in my world out of those 61, 42 were white

Don't use name set 39. Since the instructions were given in that thread, OOTP has changed 39 from US-Historical to US-African American. So unless you want all of the facegens for your Israeli players to be African American, you should find some other seldom-used name set to replace. I'd go with either 21-Albanian or 29-Azerbaijani.

Follow the instructions in the link that r0nster posted. Then, while in commissioner mode, go to Game>Explore World, click on Israel, then choose Nation Editor. Under "Language Information," choose either Albanian or Azerbaijani (whichever one you decided to replace) from the dropdown menu. The number to the right can be anything - since it's a ratio, it doesn't matter as long as only one ethnicity is chosen. You might need to restart the game after you do that - I'm not sure.

The problem is that Haiti has a black population with French names. Unlike the US, which has separate name sets for white and black players, there's no black French name set in OOTP. Haiti's names are drawn from the French name set, so I'm actually surprised by how many non-whites you got, since the French name set should be 100% Caucasian. Not sure what happened there.

So the same will happen with french speaking african countries? They will come out mostly white?

No, I think they draw their names from the African name set (19). That information is all contained in the world default XML file, located in the database folder.

We're stuck with 40 name sets. If you add one, you have to drop one.
