I'm stuck on Beyond The ______:
Beyond The Sideline Beyond The Gridiron Beyond The Uprights Beyond The Endzone Reasons: - It just fits your brand. You wanna come out of the gates w/ a market leading game? This is probably the closest name that says it all. - You don't have the gameplay engines like Madden and The Show, but you have the most in-depth, off-the-field products you'll find. - All of those names above are basically saying, "there's so much more to running a franchise than just what happens on the field"... i.e. we'll take you beyond the gameplay engines and shiny graphics and show you what it's like to really be an owner or GM. It just makes sense to me. - BT_ would be a great acronym no matter what you put at the end. Your tagline can even be something like "Gamedays are just the beginning". Boom. - I don't know Francis Cole like a lot of you guys have over the years, but I've seen enough to know it would be a great homage to his original vision. Just please, whatever you do, do not do anything w/ Manager in the title. No offense to Franchise Hockey Manager, but that's about the most basic name you could shoot for. There are already so many "Manager" games out there, especially mobile games. It doesn't stand out at all. What sounds better to you? Beyond The Rink or Franchise Hockey Manager? Beyond The Gridiron or Franchise Football Manager? |

"Beyond the Sidelines" is the only fitting name.
It is perfect both in description and in paying homage to a fallen comrade. |

i would say make it similar to other games in your brand, but they area all differnt anyway.
it might improve recognition if you use a similar branding for each. OotP:FHM OotP:Baseball OotP:Football OotP: Franchise Football Manager not sexy, but google searches and new customers wouldn't be confused as to who the creator is or fooled by a potentially similarly named game in future. at the least they type "ootp" or "out of the park" plus general sport name and it will guarantee a result to your website. Think it will be as simple as it remains Front Office Football; whether or not it remains version 9 or reverts back to 1 ( OOTP: FOF1 ) is what the guess would be. Think that may have been one requirement Jim held on to.
Then again, like FHM it may just straight up be FOF. Last edited by nbryant; 04-28-2018 at 01:57 PM. |

I'm guessing it will be labelled v9.
And for those wondering, this thread was started following the cancellation of Beyond the Sideline Football with intentions of starting from scratch with a new lead they were searching for. Once the announcement was made months later that FOF was coming to OOTP (Along with its 1 man team), it's rendered this thread obsolete. The announcement made it clear and this general forum is named the same.
