I just got done playing World Wide Soccer Manager and I think the way European soccer leagues are run is awesome. However, it would require hundreds of teams and that's just not realistic. I think it would be cool to have multiple leagues from multiple countries and have tournaments that feature the best out of each league. Now I realize there's the WBL which is a promotion/relegation league. My idea involves leagues being on a somewhat level playing field. I realize this would be quite the project for one person to handle especially filling all the spots since I can't even fill up my own 30 team league
.
My proposal would include 16 team leagues based out of various countries. The main thing that would set it apart would be certain tournaments such as the WBC, which would require 16 or so GM's chosen to represent their country and pick players from across any of the leagues to be on their team. There would also be another tournament between the teams themselves to find out who really is the best in the universe. Also, each team would be able to interact with other team's in different leagues and if it's possible, have one big FA pool.
So my solution would be to get several people together who would be the head of each league, trade off simming and basically have several commissioners. That way it would take a lot of the pressure off a single person. Before I go into anymore detail, I would like to hear back from other experienced OOTP players and see what your thoughts are on this, if it's going to possible or maybe if you were interested in helping out.
