Veazey Rumored to be Dating Soccer Star:

Justin Veazey of the Florida State Seminoles is reportedly keeping company with professional soccer player Chelsea Slattery. The couple has been spotted recently at various clubs, concerts, and restaurants, as well as a number of public functions. Asked whether the two were involved romatically, Veazey said he and Slattery were 'just good friends'. "We're just hanging out and enjoying each other's company at the moment," said the 23-year-old left fielder. However, when pressed as to whether their relationship might become more serious in the future, Veazey seemed to dodge the question. "Right now, I'm really just focused on baseball and helping the Florida State Seminoles win games," he remarked, with a sly grin.

December 2024 sees the latest former amateur conference emerge as a professional organization within hte NCAA. The Big West joins the American League with Cal State Northridge, UC Riverside, UC Davis, Hawai'i, UC San Diego, Cal State Bakersfield joining the professional ranks. Joining those squads in the Big West are former conference mates from days gone by UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and UC Irvine. That latter schools departed the American West.
