Enjoying PT in OOT21

I have to admit I'm enjoying PT in OOTP21. My initial thoughts when I first heard about PT during the inaugural launch in the earlier version of the OOTP game was negative because I don't really enjoy pay to win type games. I really never gave it a chance for that reason. However, I'm doing well winning tournaments and in a tight divisional race in my rookie league and I haven't spent an additional dollar.

It's definitely alot of fun. I look at it this way, when I take my wife out for evening of food and some brewskis it's $100. Anytime I order up a pizza for $20 I could certainly have been more cost effective eating a cheese sandwich. I have no issue skipping any of those and shooting some money their way.

It's not hard to be reasonably successful in the higher tiers without spending a time, even if you are chronically inept / unlucky like me. My FTP / only-market team in PT 20 made the Perfect League playoffs a few times there, and in 21 my FTP theme team is currently doing better than the one that opened $30 of packs.

This season is super-charged because we have missions and tournaments available from the outset. And the revamped league structure should keep things interesting. Good times.

Very nice. The additional levels and tournaments to start the game has been a plus for this version right out of the gate.

Lost in the finals in the rookie league in six games :-(, 100+ win season.
Promoted to the Stone league 106 now. Good luck everyone!
