State of the AH

I only collect non-live and non-future legend players. I have been noticing that the auction house has became pretty barren of the kinds of cards I am looking for, especially at the Gold level. In prior weekends, there have been a ton of players to choose from and multiple copies of them. Anyone else notice this change? I hope that this is just an anomaly. I miss being able to upgrade and switching the theme of my teams.

I'd expect the value of such cards to be higher after Collection Missions come out because maybe it is the one card a person is missing. So doesn't surprise me that folks are deferring a few weeks to unload duplicates of the cards you are looking for...

Frankly I think the biggest issue is that the influx of new teams hasn't been there in recent weeks, so you don't have a bunch of new teams opening a bunch of packs. I wouldn't expect a huge surge in activity in the auction house till the next OOTP sale.

Whatever the reason, it´s damned annoying. I´m trying to upgrade at short, and I have a choice of six players, five of which can´t play defense and the last is already way over average bid. I hope this isn´t a trend! :/

The game and AH are both dying. Expect to see less and less cards in the AH and more people quitting perfect team than joining it. The slow death has begun for perfect team and its unbalanced mess.
