Trenton is still stuck in Bronze. But off to a 10-3 start.

Something tells me that the New York Stat Padders is one of those infamous "meatball" teams with position players pitching.

Meanwhile, the Coons are 8-6 after an 0-4 start despite getting next to not offense except from Mike Trout (), George Springer, and Xander Bogaerts. I retrained Bogaerts to second base after erring through a pile of silver cards at the keystone in the first few seasons. It was rough at first (.830 def. efficiency in his first 200 Gold League innings there), but he is now a 61 on defense, which is palatable.

Have put up my first ever 10-game losing streak...
Sitting at 4-13, with the worst offence in my conference, the 2nd-worst defensive efficiency but only the 4th-worst pitching. And I thought my start to last season was bad... Davey Johnson, last year's homerun champ, has yet to hit a single dinger in 17 games, his slash-line currently .121/.194/.197.

Renamed my three teams Gryphons Gold, Red and Blue. Blue got promoted to Perfect this year after a divisional playoff loss, and ouch off to a kinda rocky 7-13 start. I think we’ll turn it around although my offence really seems to be silent.
My Red and Gold teams are reunited in Gold .286 after being split in Silver and a Gold last year. And wouldn’t you know it - same division. Gold was 2nd in the Silver league last year but sadly got knocked out by a wildcard winner. Red didn’t have a good year in the Gold league at all. But both teams off to a decent start in Gold this time around. |

Just forked out a few thousand PP on 1960 Roger Maris. Has pretty decent platoon splits. Baserunning is atrocious though.
I've also built up Altuve's rating in LF and RF. He's essentially a super utility now with 40+ in the corner OF spots and all IF positions except 1B. This is going to be a cool little rotation to figure out.

I feel like the gold level is where my team is going to be the most enjoyable. I can't see myself improving my team that much more because every upgrade is going to cost $20 minimum and to compete at perfect, it's more like $50 for each. I might get to where I'm ok at diamond, but no way will I move further than that without disaster.

Yeah, I remember seeing your team down there at the bottom with mine. Ugh! It was painful watching my team lose so often. I'm glad to hear things are going better for your team too. Right now, 2 of the top 3 starters in the AC (using rWar) are mine and 1 more is in the top 10. Last year they were atrocious. One of them just had an off-season. No way he was that bad even against great hitting. I had two others with worse ratings than him who still had respectable stats. But this guy had an ERA of about 7 and a WHIP over 1.8 and his other stats were poor too. Now, he's #1 or at least top 5 in multiple areas.

Perfect 338 seems very competitive. Not sure if there will be a 100 game winner?

So how many Perfect leagues? 8?
Why aren't the perfect leagues shown on the Leagues and rules hierarchy?

Yay, lost seven in a row overnight, now firmly wedged into last place. Last in offense; also got beaten on that Buster Posey auction. Grr.
Yeah, this was probably not a team ready for Diamond... Hey, Luis Severino is unbeaten in five starts with a 2.50 ERA. His record? 1-0. What a failing offense…

10-17 after April in an eerily similar start to last season. Pitching is okay, but my hitters are cold, cold, cold.
Upgraded my Paul Waner to the Peak version and he's mashed since coming in, hitting .391/.423/.783. Ditched Topsy Hartsel for now, though I may bring him back as corner outfield backup (I forgot that you can only have one version of a player on the team and sent him to the reserve roster because I wanted Paul Waner to sub for Paul Waner on the days Paul Waner was tired ).

Looks like I'm hanging in with the big boys this time
Had to make some pretty drastic changes from my last year's team but seems to be working out so far. Sold my Record Breaker McGwire for 10k and let me upgrade quite a bit. My bench is 2018 Realmuto, Seager, Altuve, and Nimmo. Not a bad bench.

Both my teams are still with losing records this season.
Something almost seems off considering that both my teams won their divisions in Silver league only to be advanced to Gold where they immediately drop to the basement. Some examples of my luck with some common cards..... There are 18 Patrick Corbin card in my league. Of course mine has the worst ERA at 6.92 There are 5 Sean Dolittle cards. Mine has the worst ERA by over a full point at 6.00. On my other team's league there are 3 Miles Mikolas cards as starters. Their ERAs are 2.77, 3.22 and 8.01. You can guess which is mine. |

Getting slaughtered in Perfect after winning my conference every season so far. I'm seeing so many historical cards I've never seen before. But, I think it's mostly a bad start because there's no way my starters can play this bad all season. Yikes at Sale's ERA.
I need to upgrade Severino and Carrasco. They were great up until Diamond, but the competition is clearly too much for them at these highest levels. The problem is it's mostly expensive historicals that are better than them at this point. Actually, probably Verlander and Syndergaard are the affordable upgrades.
