Getting Control Of An Online League
This is a general question for anyone who can answer.
One of my online leagues that has gone on for a few years is suddenly at a total stand-still. The commissioner has seemingly ghosted all his leagues and now there's no activity from him and no response to anyone reaching out for now over 3 months. What I'm wondering is if there is any way to either gain access to the commissioner account in the file WITHOUT having been given the password, or have the commissioner account changed in some way. My primary goal would be to either get the league going again, or secondly to at least download it as an offline file so I can at least still enjoy what [horrible] team I've built. Trust me, I know this sounds sketchy as all hell. I have zero issues with being 100% transparent about the situation here. Just looking to know if there's any hope at all in any direction. Thanks! |

I believe the answer would still have to include the Commissioner in some way.
He/she could simply pass on the p/w and someone else could pick up the league(s) and run with it/them (likely also assuming the control and payment of the server space, etc.). Or (and I've never done it, or have seen it done, but have heard it's possible) he could release the file w/o Commissioner control (essentially turn it off as an online league and upload it (again, I think). After that, it's basically no longer useful as an online league of course. You clearly recognize anything else would invite other, not so good, stuff for ANY existing online league! I'm sure you have already, but reach out to him/her again?? Unless something truly unfortunate has happened, not sure why anyone wouldn't pass along the Commissioner's role. |
