I googled "David Paulino's hat" and only see that one picture where it looks ridiculously stupid. Otherwise, he has a normal looking hat.

If anyone is looking for a real bargain on a Machado card... may still be some time left on this one... |

I checked and 23 of the 30 teams in my league (G286) have better career records than mine. And we're off to a wonderful start: 5-8 with awful pitching and awful defense and an awful offense.
Last season, my team was one of the top ones in pitching and had the #2 defense (def effic), but we're 14th out of 15 right now in defense and about the same in most pitching categories. It didn't help that the AI didn't use some of my players correctly (that stopped after the 6th game, though).

Finally got to the point where I'm comfortable enough with my team to just start ripping packs when I hit a thousand. And UM, WOW, THE FIRST ONE!
Oliver Drake comes up and I'm like "Eh, yeah, that's not too shabby!" Then Ellsworth pops up and I pop off, thinking "This is the best pack I've ever gotten!" And, well, I kinda lost my mind when that diamond card popped in. WOW. |

So, last season my two Silver teams were in the same league, different conferences. They finished #2 and #3 in the league, but both lost in the LCS. This season they are in the same ****ing division. Such bull****. Now, if both teams are as successful, the best I can hope for is one wins the conference, the other gets a wildcard, then plays one game hoping to move on to play my other team in the LDS.
And that would be after somehow splitting the 19 head-to-head games in such a way that both teams can still do well (and resisting all urges to rig the games for the preferred outcome). It just sucks all-around and I don't think I'm going to have much fun this season. |

I'm in a tough division this time around. Competition is heating up in Gold!

My team is 11-12 and 16th overall. In other words, my team which probably belongs at the silver level, could end up getting promoted to the diamond level. And if we improve enough to not be one of the bottom 2 at that level, we could end up staying at the diamond level for a while.

Haven't you reported this as a bug? It seems like this should be blocked somehow.

Things are going well for me in gold so far and we're off to a 17-6 start and we have a 7 1/2 game lead in the division, which is a new experience for me.
My only diamond is on the auction house, but if they don't sell they may got a shot to fill-in for an underperforming Phil Rizzuto. |

Nice team! It's fun seeing a team with a lot of historical players. Congratulations on the great start.

I'm my own example of what could happen, because during the Beta I had two teams in one league and tested out manipulated H2H games and ended up earning 37,000 PP in one game through setting one team as a meatball team. And I'm not 100% certain OOTPD's anti-meatball safeguards block my meatball strategy where I basically just swapped the pitchers' and the fielders' roles (it still meets the roster requirements if everyone is a two-way player who aren't listed in the depth charts of their true position). |

My 1991 Tom Glavine (88 rating) apparently isn't cut out for Silver League. He's given up 24 runs on 38 hits. His HR/9 and BABIP have blown up, even though he's actually better at K/9 this season. His FIP is 4.82, when he was 3.77 last season. What a terrible run that hopefully ends soon.
