Have you ever wanted a fictional league with some history? I intend to make that! Meet the Canadian Hockey Association, the second attempt at professional hockey (in my alternate Universe). I'll be posting the original 12 teams first, with their glorious 1970s jerseys. Then I will post the uniform histories of each team, and eventually, I will release a quick start when I sim all seasons from 1972-73 up to 2017-18.

Alternate Universe
In the CHA universe, World War One was the only world war. Unfortunately, it lasted 13 years longer due to the inability of the Allies to deploy tanks in 1917, thus the Central Powers developed their own tanks. Tanks never actually changed anything, so the war dragged on until both sides declared a ceasefire in 1931. Every economy in the world was exhausted, so after the ceasefire the world endured a massive recession that lasted two decades. By 1972 things had returned to some sense of normality.

The consequence of this to Professional Hockey was that the NHL didn't gain as many customers as in our world. Most people worked in factories during the 20s, to support the war effort. So from 1919 to 1924 the NHL suffered a slow death, owners could not afford to run professional teams. The league folded in 1926, as it had only two teams left the Toronto St. Patricks and the Montreal Canadiens. The Stanley Cup was placed in the National Sporting Museum in Ottawa, and would remain there until 1971 when Walter Smythe, grandson of Lt. Conn Smythe, organized the CHA.
