HSBL Converting to OOTP18
The HSBL will be moving to OOTP18 soon and we have several open teams. This league has been running for 4 real years and is completing it's 23rd season (Started with Inaugural draft in 1975 after simulating our own 75 year history)) for some insight into the settings, concept and beginnings of this league click Here. You must own the game to play in the HSBL.
We are a mature group of guys who play OOTP because we love it and we desire the competition that an online league environment offers, we have Lives, Wives, Children, Grandchildren and Jobs and want to be in a league that is consistent and drama free . We didn't necessarily join a league to form a social network, It just happened. The HSBL was created because we were tired of being in leagues that lasted 1 or 2 seasons and folded, I figured the only way to ensure that a league had longevity through multiple versions and scores of seasons was to just run it myself. I wanted a Historical league without the predictability that comes with a straight Historical league. This league provides all those things and more! We are currently at the 1997 World Series. We will convert on Monday, March 27th will Start back up with the Off-Season using OOTP18 on Saturday April 1st (No Fooling). This league uses Spritze Database and also utilizes many new features including a 200(max) Player Talent randomness modifier, the international complex, International Free Agents, HARD Cap etc. It is a Historical League with a modern taste and it doesn't have the typical predictability of Historical leagues. Expansion is around the corner and the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Devil Rays will join the mix. The following teams are available NL None AL None Some things this league is: A long running, dependable every day sim league with a solid core of adults. This is a no nonsense environment. Some things this league isn't: Full of media articles written by and about teams ran by Trade happy GM's who feel like trading is a needed recreational activity for a league on A Fancy Web Page. *** If you are interested in a League that will still be here 20 season down the road, if your looking for a league that can crank out 5+ seasons in a year of real time. If you desire a league that will be around long enough for you to actually rebuild a team, then the HSBL may be good choice for you! We use Slack almost exclusively for our communication, I do also send out e-mails daily for sim notification and important communications/notifications as well as announce these on slack. HSBL uses StatsLab utilities We hope you will join us! Please PM me if interested! Thanks for reading Rhett *** Just to clarify the paragraph. Trading, Media articles etc...are in no way frowned upon in the HSBL, I just want to be clear that if you go into this league expecting to see Articles about teams, expecting to rebuild your team overnight by making a slew of trades in an off-season, if your are looking for a fancy web page. Then the HSBL probably isn't the league for you. Historically those things have not happened. There are many other Fine leagues that provide that type of atmosphere, The HSBL just isn't one of them.

I'm a long time member of HSBL it is a very well run league (thanks Rhett) with very little drama just GM your team and make the appropriate decisions to become a league leader, I took over a team that was consistently near the bottom of the league and have turned them into a playoff contender for the last 6 seasons. A fun league with a good group of GMsv Come and give a try I was new to online league when I joined and group was very helpful to get me going
I have been involved with numerous league and this one has stayed around the longest and I have enjoyed the most Last edited by Billings Ballers; 03-25-2017 at 02:01 PM. |

An excellent league and a great experience if you're a fan of going back to the 90's and working your way forward. All sorts of fun names to come across.

Hey! I know this guy.
I have run into "PainMantle" before and know him to be extremely knowledgeable and dependable. I have absolutely no doubt that any league of his is a first class operation. If you want to learn how an online league should be operated, join this league.
That being said, I'd like to join if you'll have me. Arlo |

Red Sox
I'd be really interested in taking over the Red Sox if they're still available. I've been playing OOTP for a few years now and I'm really interested in playing in an online league
