Smile Adult baseball league

The ABL has migrated to OOTP13 for its 3rd season. We are a 24 team league that is based in the modern day era and uses fictional players. What makes us unique is that ratings are hidden combined with a financial system that challenges the top teams meanwhile making it less difficult for the bottom teams to win soon than later. We have tremendous group of owners that are very active on our goggle mail group. This group is also very mature thus the league name, "Adult". We are able to discuss league issues without making things personal.

We sim pretty quick -3 to 4 times a week usually 7 day sim lengths. Sims are done on time and the communication in the league is top notch. This is definitely a league for you if you are looking for a hardcore league that delivers on its promises and you have the time to commit. There are incentive points in place for rewarding GMs that use team blogs, twitter and for doing exports on time. We also have some interesting twists at the end of the year that allow the World Series winner to create any player of their choice in addition to allowing GMs to add nicknames to their players and even renaming a player based on their contributions during the year to the league.

The main website is at: ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE :: Adult Baseball League
Once there you will have all the links you need to access the ABL information.

Right now we are FULL but, I would like to keep on hand a back up GM list in a case a spot opens up. We have had some great stability for a new league but, each season there always appears to be 1-2 spots that open up for various reasons.

You can PM me on this forum if you need more information.

Thanks for looking!

Jason

Couple of questions.....

1.) Statistically speaking, what era does your league most resemble? (e.g Huge offense of 90's; balanced offense of 70's-80's; many complete games as in the 40's and 50's? Modern day baseball?)

2.) How long will you stick with OOTP 13. I'm considering buying it, but may wait till 14 comes out.

Your league sounds like it will be a good one.

Thanks,

Breck

I looked at your website and blog, so I know the answer to my first question.

Looks like a really well thought-out, active league.

Hey Breck;
Glad you found the answer to #1. Most of the activity is through the goggle group. However, yes we have some information at our league forum for instance voting on polls for league ideas/rule changes etc..

Relative to your #2 question, we just switched to OOTP13 and likely will go with this version for now. Once OOTP14 comes out we will let the bugs works itself out before we commit.
Cheers;
Jason

ABL recruiting

The ABL is about to start its 4th season of OOTP baseball.
We are recruiting for the best of the best in terms of great baseball fans with time available to commit to a well run, fun and competitive league.
League activity is high in this league and we sim typically 3-4 times a week.
If you are interested in learning more please review our website ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE :: Adult Baseball League
There are several interesting links at this site to help you learn more about this great league.
Please email me at usf@rogers.com with your information and why you would be a great candidate to fill a future opening in the ABL.

We have since migrated to OOTP 14. We do have one spot open. If anyone is interested please PM me.

We are 1/2 way through season #6!

OOTP 14 offers a ton of benefits over OOTP 13 including our current INT FA signing period! :-)
