Yep, of course. As well as park factors, BABIP, and a million other things. Which is why the correlation is quite low. But generally I would expect that as the sample size increases, it will grow stronger, as those things even out.

It is 120 on a 100 point scale. The game has a few players that can break the scale. Catcher Ability and Pitcher Stuff are the most common places.

So the question is, how much does a catcher ability improve pitching and how do you measure it? These catchers cannot hit. If they bat 250 you are lucky. But what stat show catchers ability affect?

yeah, that's the compromise I guess.... top notch defense/ability, but lacking in offense... just depends on whether you want to sacrifice a little defense for a little offense to get a better balance....
