Thank you eriqjaffe... This is great for us Mac users. And to all you Mac users... This works much better using Firefox. Safari just does not cut it with this program.

Outstanding. Made a 1st cap just experimenting in less then a minute. Only thing I see is the difficulty in choosing colors.
BTW using chrome on windows 7. Works fine for me. |

Announcing the web-based Cap Maker!
I love the cap maker, thank you very much for your contribution, but I was wondering if there is any chance you could make a jersey creator for Mac users?

Nice work! I finally tried this, and it works great in Vista. I just completed the entire Toronto Maples set, 1920-present, for my fictional league.

I am actually working on one. I'm running into some issues with jersey text that don't exist in the capmaker, but I plan on publishing it once those are ironed out.

Thanks for sharing these programs, they're both really cool.
I was wondering if there was anyway to add a city into the park generator? I was trying to build ball parks in Brooklyn, NY and Jersey City, NJ but they weren't available in the drop down menus for either state. Is there a way that I can add them manually? |

If you mean some kind of Logo Generator, it's something I've considered but haven't really figured out a good way of going about it. |

I've updated CapMaker with a pretty cool new feature: Imgur integration!
That means that in addition to saving your creations locally, you can also upload them directly to Imgur.com. Cap Maker will then provide you with the URL to your image, which you can then use to show off your stuff here in the forums, or anywhere else on the internet you want to post an image! |

Oh, absolutely you can do that. Under the "Logo Image" section there is an option to upload an existing image. There is even some basic editing functionality when you have selected an image in the CapMaker, as well.

Also, I've added a "snakeskin" striping pattern.

I can't figure out how to work this utility...can someone help me, and/or give me some direction?
1. How to a resize images to make sure they fit on the cap? 2. How can I change the color to the exact shade I am looking for? |

When you have a logo selected there should be an option to auto-size it. It's not always a perfect fit, but it gets you in the ballpark.
Quote:
The selector accept either hexadecimal codes or properly formatted RGB values (it uses hex values by default, although you can change that in the Options section) - for example, pasting #ff0000 or rgb(255,0,0) will change the selected object to full red. It can also do HSL values, but those aren't as intuitive. It looks like elements are scaling oddly - the gray rectangle should only be about half that size. Are you using a Mac, by chance? I've had reports of my utilities not always working as expected with Macs. Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac to test it out with so I can't really replicate the issue. Regardless, try using a different browser - my utilities appear to have fewer problems in Firefox for some reason. Last edited by eriqjaffe; 01-30-2016 at 11:06 AM. |
