opening day 2014 roster

I have noticed the quickstart has gotten updated for the standard game real 2014 rosters. how can I start a real MLB game using default 2014 opening day roster?

Opening day rosters are never changed in ootp...unless we made a mistake and had someone on the wrong team in our editor's roster files. However, they can appear to change as the AI will move some players around once you start/create the game.
If you want to change things, you need to move players one by one on their profile edit page...much easier way if you have a bunch of players, is to export the rosters and open them in a spreadsheet or text program and changed their team ids to the team you want them on and reimport those rosters.

I meant all the trades that happened during last season get updated. For example David Price is now with Detroit.

I was looking for original opening day rosters for 2014 season. I expected hundreds if not thousands of quickstart leagues and I only find a handful most of which are not 2014 related.

Other than OOTPmods and ootp developments are there any other sites? I haven't found any.

Not sure what version of ootp you've got, but if it's 15..you've got 2014 opening day rosters...it appears that you're talking about one thing and wanting another. ie..David Price was traded to Detroit on July 31. We don't update rosters to show transactions that take place after opening day.
Why not create your own..it's real easy and just takes a bit of time. Export your rosters and open them in a spreadsheet...Apache open office is free. Then change the team ids to place the players on whatever team you want. Once done, save it and reimport your rosters.

You can follow all transactions during the season on a daily basis at the usual sites such as MLB, ESPN, BBref, etc.
There is one Mod that someone did that has the 2014 transactions here.

Actually Rod, someone (whose initials may or may not be MH) screwed up the rosters in one of the last patches and included updated ones. So the op is right.

I thought Markus fixed this in the last patch though. catch22, do you have the latest patch?

yep was due to old patch. Upgraded to Build 34. Rosters appear to be as they were April 1st 2014. Thanks for the not so quite obvious answer to me!
