Question How many people ..

How many people form online leagues/participate in online leagues where you just manage on the field and let GM/ownership deal with financials? Is that even possible in an online league? Also how many people have had it where in an online league you manage on the field and do GM stuff like drafting and trading but there are no financials? Is this also even possible in an online league?

No financials is possible in an online league, though that would kind of ruin the point of interacting with other human GMs.

However, it is not possible to play out games in an online league. How they work is, each player makes his/her lineup changes and transactions in their own game, then uploads their league file to the league's commissioner. The commissioner compiles all of these files into one main league file, runs a sim (most commonly for an in-game week, but the length varies by league), and sends the new league file back out to the GMs, who make their lineup changes and upload their league file. Rinse and repeat.

not possible to play out the games in an online league. that would require two teams both being connected into the game somehow at the same time. perhaps in future iterations?

I just prefer a fantasy draft style with no salaries or playing with original rosters for a particular year and I don't see how this would ruin interacting with other human GMs online as you could still draft, do trades, pick up players off waivers or whatever. It is just the removal of money/finances. As for the online side of this game it doesn't sound to great. :S It sounds like loads of work.
