Issue downloading online league file
In two online leagues, one I have no problem downloading in game.
The other starts the download process, stops on 0% OOTP becomes unresponsive and after 20 minutes throws cannot download file error. Downloaded league file from site, still same result. Re-installed OOTP, same result. Anyone with ideas? Thanks |

1) Fresh new league file then try again?
2) Active antivirus?

Are you the only GM that is experiencing the problem?
Would be odd if you are only one. Might suggest settings problem? Could be Commissioner file improperly uploaded (or not yet uploaded). Which league is it? |

Thanks for the replies guys.
Sounds like I am the only one with the issue, with that in mind I re-installed OOTP just in case something had changed in the settings. Downloaded file from server, attempted to download new file (even though I have the latest) same issue, would have expected a 'you already have the latest file' message. Knocked off AV, same result Copied all the settings directory files out, downloaded accounts_data file off server, tested download file settings - successful, was able to to export file to server in game as well. Attempted again to download latest file, becomes unresponsive and fails on cannot download file error after around 20 minutes of hanging. Grrrr |

I have run into problems like this also.
Have you copied your .dat files and settings folder to a new .lg folder that is correctly named? Sometime having just the .dats will fix a screwy league file. I am assuming you know how to rename league folders and create new ones. If not post here. Good luck, Tom (LP)

Downloaded a new file from the server, created the settings directory for the league, added accountsdata file. It makes the connection to the server and just hangs, then falls over When testing the FTP connection to the server (in FTP settings) the test connection is successful |

When you DL the new file what is included? Is it just .dat files and a settings folder?
How many sims has this happened for? Just one, the last 5, etc.? Has your commissioner built a new league starter file for you to start from?

go into your online league settings
File / online league /online league settings and switch from default / active / passive whatever you are on change it and try, if that works great, it not change it to the 3rd option

Several members of my league have reported that using a VPN while Downloading the league file when this issue occurs solves the issue.
Another common culprit is a massive faces.dat file. The Commish can use a FTP program like filezilla to upload the file manually WITHOUT the faces.dat file... It is a pain bit it works. Always keep the faces.dat file. do not delete you will need to move it back into your folder. |

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having this exact same issue and have found no answers what so ever.
