Late inning pitching cost the Superbas another game, as they fell 7-6 to the Reds.

Is Cy Young's age finally catching up to him? He left the game with back spasms. It is unclear whether it will affect his next start.

WP - Joe Beach (1-0)
LP - Del Mason (0-1)

Spring Record - 1-3

The tema can't blame this one on the pitching as the Superbas were held to just three hits as they were shut out by the Giants, 6-0.

Save - Doc Newton (1)
LP - Johnny Lush (0-1)

Spring Record - 1-4

Eddie Plank seemed offended when he read that the Pirates had an advantage on the mound in the game. He proved otherwise by pitching five scoreless innings on the way to a 5-0 Brooklyn win.
