First year draft cap question?
The owner gives you a certain amount of money to sign your draft picks with. My question is if you don't use that money is it wasted or do you get to keep it? Also if you go over the cap you get from the owner I have heard you can use general money than is that true?

For a year or two I was a regular feature in this forum helping out our new players. I'll try to be back more often to help out since it appears to have fallen out of favor with some of our veteran posters.
The draft budget seems to come out of your overall budget. I started this most recent draft with a budget of $114.2M and had $92.5M, leaving me roughly $12.8M for free agents and the remaining $8.9M or so for extensions before the season began - all of which is listed in the Front Office screen. I simmed up to my draft in June and have a listed available budget room of $12.8M, so I'd say your FA money is going to be your budget. The kicker, of course, is that I still have that $8.9M to play with so I can go over budget if I want. |
