What's your longest running save

I'm looking through all my almanacs for my league and realized that i've been playing this one league file since 2015. I'm curious how long (real time) you guys have been playing your main game

My longest running save was 2011-2019 (OOTP12-OOTP20), Started new save to change things up in OOTP20.

When I created it I had to manually change all the team names Majors and Minors and Japan and Colleges.

2015 with the Yankees. Currently halfway thru 2021. I play out every game. Pretty much ruined the Yankees.

That is awesome, Have you added to the league as you have gone through versions or is it still the same setup as you started in OOTP4

I'm running the same league that I started on a Commodore 64 in 1988. Transitioned to Earl I in '89, Earl II in '92, and OOTP2 in 2000. I added a huge universe of teams around the Continental League when it became possible in OOTP2006, but it's the same continuous history of my main league for 33 real-life calendar years.

I have a guy named Klondike Sherman who debuted as a player in 1989, retired in 2002, and is still managing in an indy league in my sim today.

A fictional that I started in version 16 or 17 I'm not sure. Started in 2000 and now playing season 2083.

I mostly play god mode because I enjoy watching the league unfold and see the history developing.

Had a league I started in 2011 and I had to end it in 2019. This was due to all the minor league games being deleted somehow . I had planned to keep it going.

Some of y'all need to give me tips for developing an attention span, cause I've had every game since 14, and I don't think I have ever had a league last more than a few weeks lol.

The Raccoons were started on May 20, 2012 in OOTP 12 and are now in their 59th season in OOTP 16. Played out every single game except for a select few where I accidentally hit next day - talking less than a handful here.

I've had the evolution setting on for a long time, so the league has changed a lot. I only have league history back to 2169, i think i messed up an import in OOTP10 or something? Not sure why it doesnt go back farther, but Records and retired players still have info from before then.

it just takes a while to sim, and pull up records and what not. i really wish they could make it so you didnt have reload areas so much. Like for Records and hall of fame.

My fictional league started in 2016 and i'm in 2038 right now. I sim day by day. I used to play every game but I only play out the first game of the year, other important games and of course all of the playoffs. My seasons are short though, 68 games.

Geez Louise! Please tell me you have one enormous Almanac with all history. If so, how big is it? Hundreds of GB? Has it topped one TB?

First OOTP version for me was v4- 2002. Started a game with 2002 real players and have imported it to every version since. I play out all games, including ST, and am almost through the 2035 season.

When you play a game like this, one game at a time, season after season, you really start to understand what 300 career HRs are let alone 500!

My Islandian Pro Alliance dynasty league was started December, 2007... I have played 63 seasons... my archives are complete... everything is there... I think the file numbers are 4 to 5 million... I think I started with 2006 version (in association with the Football Manager franchise)… I play in the god mode and just watch the game play out... I sim the regular season (64 teams)… recapping several times in the season... and then play out the Pro Cup playoffs... only 8 division winners play... no wild cards... then I recap the playoffs game-by-game... all of this is posted on the OOTP Dynasty Forum.

Currently using OOTP19... I will soon convert to OOTP20 and then quickly to OOTP21... I want to see the improved 3D animation... really excited about this.

I usually wait until the final patch of each version to convert my leagues... but I have decided to skip playing OOTP20 and go directly to OOTP21.

Several knowledgeable and astute OOTP gamers have said this new version is stable and reliable... I'll just make sure I have two complete backups on two separate external hard drives before I convert it.

Honestly Eugene I would never have the willpower to play one version behind year after year.

I don't think you will be disappointed by changing that for v21 but....
like anything computer having those backups is the way to go.
