Hendu, This is one of the most enjoyable dynasty threads I've come across on the boards. Very interesting and a great read. Not even looking at your almanacs, it gives a great sense of your team. Great job! You're inspiring me to load up Cubby's 2007 roster set and dive head first into a dynasty for my own team across the bay.

Hi guys... after a hiatus of nearly five (5!) years, I am looking to get back into OOTP and dynasty reporting. Right now, I'm just feeling out the new iteration of the game (2013) and getting used to all the bells and whistles. Eventually, I'd like to start a 1990's historical league and push it all the way to modern day 2012.
Anyway, glad to be back! |

As I re-read this entire thread last night, I realized how cool it was to have some very devoted people following the dynasty. I hope that some of you are still out there, playing ootp and checking out the dynasty boards. If so, please say hey, Willie Mays style.
I also realized that this thread needs a finish to the ultimate cliffhanger. I honestly can't recall what happened. It is going to be my mission to track down the save file for this game and write up a finale. |

Contemplating where to put my new dynasty thread. It will pick up 1991, based on real stats, but fictional trades. Would you prefer to see this in this dynasty forum, or the historical forum?

Dynasty it is. I'm running a couple of test leagues to see how the mechanics work. The hardest part is realistic economic settings and minor leagues.
MINORS: How do I start a farm system in 1990 for all teams? The tricky part is, I want the minor league affiliates from current times (2012), so I don't have to change anything later. I also want rookies to import to teams. ECONOMICS: Will teams have realistic economics that adjust for inflation, TV deals, etc through the years all the way to current? How do I do this?
