Past Players to Current Draft

I can't seem to find the answer to this question in the forum so I thought I would ask for some help.

Is there a way to put players from the past into the draft of current day?

I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean historical players? If so, then, yes, you can add the players using their Lahman ID. The manual, of course, describes this process.

Yes, I did mean historical players. Do you mean you just have to change the db ID information?

Change the ID information? Again, I'm confused. Describe exactly what you are trying to do.

Sorry I guess I'm not doing a good job explaining. Let's try this. I am currently finishing the 2006 season and for my next draft in June of 2007 I would like to add some players from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's to that draft. I would like for those players to be the same age as they entered the Major League.

Now my question is, how exactly do I go about selecting specific players and how do I get them included in the draft of 2007?

Thanks for your help, I hope that explains what I am trying to do.

Hey, statman. How goes it?

You'll want to read this section of the manual for your answer(s).

Basically you need to find the player's ID number (available via B-Ref.com as stated in the manual) and then enter that into the proper area of OOTP when importing.

A better way to do it would be like to Import like lets say 1900 League and delete all the Teams and then move like say MLB 2010 Teams into that League and then you would get real People to Draft all the way up intill 2009.
