My league will not open!

So OOTP crashed last night while it was generating new amateurs as I was proceeding to the next season of a solo league. It got stuck on the generating amateurs screen for ~20 minutes, then finally said the program had to close.

So the next time I tried to start the program, it got stuck on the loading league screen for ~5 minutes, then just stayed on the opening OOTP screen. So it never took me to the home page of the league. What's going on here? Did my league crash? Can I recover it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

League is likely corrupt, check the # of ammy rounds for the draft as there is a rare glitch that sets it to 1,000's of rounds.

I can't even get into the league right now. I'll open up a different to see what the ammy draft is set to, but I've had this league for awhile and I know the draft was always set at 5 rounds. Is there a precedent for that changing on its own?

And is there any way to recover a corrupted league file?

Oh how I wish I had backed up more recently than like 10 seasons ago.

A few have had this happen with the installion of 6.12, but not many that I am aware of. The only way I know of is to HAVE A BACKUP of the league.

Back ups saves hundreds of leagues annually.

I was finally able to access the league, and Steve was right, the number of rounds in the amateur draft was set to 32,000.

It's still running very slowly, but I think I just need to delete a ton of those new players the game created.

Glad I didn't lose this league, but I will start to backup A LOT more often.
