Post HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my! I have got a tummy ache starting now. I have had the game since Thanksgiving and have had no problems. For the last couple of weeks I have been working on and off on getting a custom league going with created teams and logos etc...

Today, for no apparent reason, I logged into the game on my desktop and the graphics are suddenly SCREWY. Some of the pictures and graphics look fine on the main/standings screen. Yet, there is this multicolored haze all over the place that make it hard to read stats and the pop up menus. This is so hard to explain. Does this make ANY sense to ANYBODY? I mean, this just happened out of nowhere. Help! I am lost! (and panicking)

You need to give us more info on your system for us to be able to help. Give RAM, video memory, HD "free space", etc...as much as you can.

Ok...my PC is an IBM Pentium II...

128.0 MB

3.19 GB of space used leaving me with 9.45 GB available.

My system resources are 80% free and my virtual memory is 32 bit. (dont know if this means a darn thing)

I am not sure where to get you information on my "video memory". Can you tell me where to find it on my 'puter? What other info do you need?

I think I am going to cry...

PS--sorry for being a computer idiot...

That's a good question, Killsey. Ironically, I was about to address it, too. I HAVE had recently had problems. I bought NHL 2001 for the PC and have never been able to see any of the screens...i can hear sound but all i see is BLACK. It's strange though. My vid card is a Rage Pro and does suppport Direct X (NHL 2001 uses it, as well). Would I have NOT have other problems with pictures of things on my screen if my vid card was dead? I mean, up until last night, OOTP3 ran fine. Now, I know the graphics for NHL 2001 and OOTP are not comparable...

Oh heck, I dont know...I may never get that NHL 2001 to work. The Good New is THIS, though:

I woke up this AM, rebooted my PC and OOTP3's graphics are back to normal. Honestly, I think I did something goofy to set it off. I was online when i tried to log into the game and I had just moved a file...oh, who knows. Maybe that had NOTHING to do with it. Maybe I DO have problems. I guess only time will tell.

Any further thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I would love to play NHL 2001 before all the players retire. Thanks, fellas!
