Importing Real Rookies

Importing Real Rookies for a Career League only gives me 4 rookies. I have used two different Databases, getting the same result.

I had completed the 1997 season and the game had asked about importing "Real Rookies" and do I want to assign them with their real teams v. draft. I chose to draft the players.

I am using the most current OOTP5.

Has there been a solution?

Is there something I am doing incorrectly?

The only thing I can see as the problem is the database you're using. Are you sure you're using the right version (both number and comma-delimited)?

Well I don't use it myself, but I'm pretty sure it's Lahman's Database 4.5, located at www.baseball1.com , the comma-delimited version. If you want to be sure, do a board search and you'll most likely find what you're looking for.

Actually, if you're going to use Lahman's unedited database, you'd need 5.0, not 4.5.

But you've probably already tried that one, right?

Also, I believe there is a problem with the debut dates in the unmodified Lahman 5.0 database. Ankit released a fix for that.

I posted about this around a month ago! Finally someone else that has the same problem!

I found that every year before 1997 worked just fine.

I downloaded Ankit DB. It worked.

What I don't understand, is that I began a historical league in 1980 and had no problem importing real rookies and assigning them to their real teams for 16 seasons. However, importing them to 1997 was another story.
