StatsLab 16 Help
I usually know my way around server stuff, but somehow, I've been trying to get StatsLab to validate the install and I always get the same errors showing:
Warning: include(/home/pbca/sql_upload/dbopen.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/steff/public_html/pbca/statslab/session_functions.php on line 71 (there's a whole bunch right after this one, just not listing them all)¸ Then at the bottom of the validation page, I get this: OK: config.txt file found. ERROR: dbopen.php file not found in SQL upload directory. Please create this file based on dbopen.php.sample. Now, I have tried every server path possible to point to the right directory and the validator always gives me the same error. Looking at the wiki, I have tried to modify config.txt accordingly and the dbopen.php file is in the proper directory on the server and all info is accurate in it. Desperately need help on this as I am about to throw my computer out the window soon. Thanks in advance! Last edited by PBCA Commish; 11-14-2015 at 04:26 PM. |

Ok so I was finally able to setup the server path properly, files are uploaded in the right directory, StatsLab validation worked flawlessly...but now, I am getting errors when I access the StatsLab main page and I can't login:

You haven't loaded the SQL into the database yet.
1. Go to the SQL Files page (link at the bottom of the validator page). 2. Load the human_managers, teams, leagues, sub_leagues, divisions, and team_relations files. 3. Then you should be able to log in from the login page. 4. Then go back to the SQL files page to load the rest of the files 5. Then go to the Admin screen and configure

Thanks for the info! Will work on that tonight and see if I can finally get everything working.
On a side note, will it make a difference in any way if all players are currently in the free agent pool as I am prepping for an inaugural draft? I haven't started hiring GM's either so there's only me and my commish account in the game so far. |

No. Just be aware that the draft utility is designed for ammy drafts, which can cause some minor annoyances if you're trying to run an FA draft. Best thing is to set it up and try it and if you have issues, let me know via PM.
