Can You Change the Playoff Schedule?
I have a three-team playoff in my league.
There was a 2-team tie for third place and a 2-team tie for first place. The game scheduled the single-game playoff for third place, but didn't schedule one for first place... it just selected one of the first-place teams and seeded it second, placing the other team in the league championship finals. Two questions: #1: Can I change the teams seedings in the playoffs? I want to make the team that got the first round bye play the third place team... they lost the season series to the team they were tied with for first place. #2: Can I move the schedule to the weekend instead of the weekday? The game created its own weekday playoff schedule. I want the playoffs to be on the weekend. I played all my games on the weekend... it's a semi-pro league that plays only on the weekend. I don't want to foul up the league by changing the schedule and the seedings. Should I just play it the way the AI schedules the playoffs? Your help would be appreciated. Our OOTPB Schedule Genius, Le Grande Orange, gave me the answer:
He posted it on the OOTP16 Forum, where I also posted the question. "First, back up your league. Just in case. I think you should be able to do it. As long as the OOTP-created tie-breaking playoff game hasn't been played yet, try deleting it and scheduling the two games you need (the one between the two teams tied for third and the other between the two teams tied for first). Then advance and see what happens. If it all goes south at least you can revert to your backup and accept what OOTP generates." Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-09-2015 at 12:40 PM. |
