Super Win Streaks followed by huge losing streaks

Howdy,

I've been playing OOTP 15 for a while now, and was noticing the streakiness of winning and losing. It all kind of peaked when I started a standard game and created an expansion team. After the expansion draft, a few free agent signings, and some trades, my team would consistently win five, lose five, literally building my record to 38-38. Then all of a sudden my team beasted out for a while with a 17-4 record, making the record 55-42. Then all of a sudden my team drops off the table and loses 13 in a row, making myself 55-55 again.

O, btw, I play out each game one batter at a time.

Anyone have an explanation or have this happen to them?

I think it happens more often than you know. Last season the Blue Jays went...

13-17
25-7
11-24

in their first 97 games. If you check many teams are streaky all season

A true .500 team, that is one that finishes 81-81, has about a 67% chance of having an 8 game winning streak and/or an 8 game losing streak. That's according to standard probability analysis.

So for you to end your roller coaster ride at 55-55 is a likely outcome.
