Independent League financial settings
Alright, this question has been talked about before, but ive been searching for the past day, at least, now and haven't found an answer. So, i thought id just ask.
Does anyone who is running a league with indep. leagues have an idea on what financial settings to use? or at least close to it? I want to run a full universe league, and I want to use all indep. leagues as well (mainly because of the hometown Schaumburg Boomers). All help would be appreciated. |

No, I don't have the financial information you are seeking.
Your hometown team along with your stadium looks to be a great place to watch professional baseball. From everything I can glean from the website Boomer Baseball looks like it would be a great time. |

it definitely is. i watched some Flyers game when they were around, so we were lucky to have the Boomers move in. while we're on the subject though, if i have all of the independent and international leagues allowing FAs from other leagues and for FAs to leave league, should i still have the generate international and independent FAs turned on? or will it just sort itself out from players already there?

Independent League financial settings
There seems to be a default Indy League financial setup in game. Just switch the league type to Independent. Oddly this only works during a custom game setup before you start a game.
As for having FA's generate... You can but it would make sense to enter 0% for Japanese, Cuban, etc players since you have those leagues loaded up. It would be weird to randomly have a stud Japanese player cone out of nowhere and not from your existing NIppon League. Last edited by SirMichaelJordan; 07-15-2014 at 12:36 PM. |

I notice though that it doesnt allow Free Agents from other leagues.... Wouldn't you want to allow that, or no?

you are going with no free agency. So you're saying indy leaguers are bound to their team until released? You should also lower the days of service for a shorter season. If you don't, it will take almost 2 seasons to get one year.

Does your league have a maximum age limit? I know that is a restriction in some of the independents.

Those are the default Indy league settings that I guess Markus put together. |

I think he based them on the Frontier League. Clearly he missed fixing a couple settings, service time and allow trades from other leagues. I'll probably get a chance to tweak those before next year. |

Thanks, lukas. I also found some trades between American Association and Frontier League. Also, just BTW, the Facebook page for the American Association posts all of the league transactions! (Many more than I thought!)

Most of the Indy Leagues do a fantastic job of providing transaction and roster info etc. That's even more impressive when you consider that there are a ton of transactions in each indy league. The rosters are incredibly fluid, changing greatly even from day to day. Last edited by Lukas Berger; 07-15-2014 at 06:10 PM. |
