The Tigers always seem to under perform in these type of things. The 61 group is real solid, so here is to hoping!

I would love to see if the 2013 Blue Jays could live up to expectations if given a second chance.
My players are 1997 Roger Clemens and 1993 Joe Carter.

Personly I thought we needed a 2nd baseman on 2013 team 09 aaron Hill would have done well on that team but good pick tho that team should do well any way

D'OH!! I think I did mean 2003, but said 2001. Or fell victim to the Cardinal Fan Way, which is thinking that any year you didn't make the World Series, you didn't make the playoffs.

Either way, huge brain fart on my part. Sorry!

Sure. I'll take a National League Team.

56 Milwaukee Braves 1 G.B the Brooklyn Dodgers that year!

1928 Rogers Hornsby. (played for the Boston Braves that year so it should count)
1994 Greg Maddux

'22 Browns:

1966 Frank Robinson
1975 Jim Palmer

If that won't work, and I can only use other Browns:

1951 Ned Garver
1944 Vern Stephens

I think the teams have to be post 1946. I was going to use an earlier team myself but I thought I wasn't allowed.

This is true. The talent was too condensed back then. A few super teams and the rest average or worse. I feel more modern teams with a sprinkling of early players works best.

I always wonder if the 2004 Marlins could have returned to the playoffs if they just had patience with the opening day roster instead of trading for and giving at bats to LoDuca (.258/.690 after the trade, -.030/-.081 career second half drop off) and Encarnacion (.238/.702 after the trade, -.009/-.041 career 2nd half drop off) down the stretch.

However, in this time machine we get to do more than reverse bad trades. We can improve the bullpen with 1993 Bryan Harvey. And while I'm tempted to bring on 2003 Pudge that's too close to reality so let's add Charles Johnson.

2004 Florida Marlins
1993 Bryan Harvey
1997 Charles Johnson

Maddux was taken by the 07 Braves

I'm going to stick with my one team per round, unless you really need one last team to close it out.

Well, crud. Maybe the next league you do should be all pre-WWII teams?
