For the love of God, OOTP
My number 1 prospect, like top 10 overall in baseball, just retired at age 24 to become a pro golfer.
Really? I don't think so.

Michael Jordan quit winning championships to play minor league baseball. He probably could have won 9 straight championships in the NBA.
Bo Jackson played his second best sport first too. (though golf is a bit lame, I agree...) |

8 games, 9 at bats in 2 years finishing with a .125 batting average. Got his only hit of Eric Dubose, last game of the 2003 season against the Baltimore Orioles. He actually helped to win the game as the Orioles were winning 1-0 in the bottom of the third, following his hit next up was Soriano who hit a home run making it 2-1 to the Yankees, final score was 3-1. |

Golf is a little unlikely. Football is relatively realistic if it happens rarely.

Henson often comes to my mind early in the morning as well. Usually in the form of a nightmare involving The University of Michigan squandering a huge portion of Tom Brady's college years so the never to be superstar Henson could play. UGh!

For those saying it's unrealistic...
Robin Yount: Drafted 3rd Overall in 1973 by Milwaukee Brewers "During spring training in 1978, Yount left the Brewers briefly to become a pro golfer. He wisely returned a few months later and remained with Milwaukee for the rest of his career. Yount was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999."

Going back to the 1960's there was an outstanding footballer in England who played for Wolves called Peter Knowles. He retired aged only 25 to become a Jehovah's witness. He scored 61 goals in 174 games for his club who always hoped he would return. They didn't cancel his contract until 1982.
