If a player messages me complaining about his salary or how he is being used, he better have the stats to back it up because if he doesn't it's straight to "Shop Player Around". Bunch of molly coddled, over paid, whiny, little brats

One players morale only really seems to impact contract negotiations ... But that said a whole team strewn with unhappy players, that will drag the team down in a tight pennant race.

I am GMing a team in a league in which neither division uses the DH so I never set my DH line-up. One of my players is a utility type guy, excellent defense at a couple positions, competence at all seven and a .270 / 25 HR type hitter. He has also not been on the DL for four years. For the last three he has been happy all except for "role on team" which has finally stabilized from 500 AB utility player to 3B for the last two years. Wouldn't you know it, I looked at my line-up for the DH vs RHP &LHP and saw he was still listed in RF. So I copied in my regular line up in and after a day he is now "normal " in his "role on team". Guess them two years where he had to travel with all them different gloves as played all seven positions tortured him lol. |
