17-game win streak for 1921 Cardinals

and still way out of 1st place. The Yankees had a 9 game lead on Sept 1 but Clevaland went on a tear and the Yankees cooled a bit. Yesterday was not a good day for Cleveland.

Still though the story is that 17-game winning streak and still 6.5 out:

Make that 18 and Pittsburgh lost. And there's another monster streak brewing in the AL except it's the wrong way. LOL

I never played a historical before. Man, that was fun!

Ruth pounded 65.

25-yr old Hornsby got the triple Crown (sort of).

And the Giants could not replicate their real-life effort. All-in-all...a good season.
