"No Opponent Pitcher for Scored Runner"

Got this error while in the scoring screen in Real Time Scoring mode.

What is it? What do i do?

Yes. I did see that post and laughed a lot. Which I appreciate given how frustrated i was with the error.

I still cannot figure out where the error came from. Any help on that front?

Got this error again today...re-occuring error message every min or so while looking at the live scores in real time scoring mode.

Anyone heard of it?

I uninstalled and installed again and I am still getting this error. I contacted Help/Support from OOTP and got a reply that they had never seen this error.

They suggested I reinstall...I did....and I am still getting the error window popping up during games:

NO OPPONENT PITCHER FOR SCORED RUNNER!

No Runner Scored on the play so the only thing I can think of is that "Scored" refers to the box score...in the updating of the box score of the program the error is getting tripped.

Any idea which game in particular is causing the error? Does it let the day finish?

It happens mid game. It was just happening during a live scoring sim..but today it happened several times while I was managing a game.

I have yet to be able to pin down when it actually happens.

Yes...the sim itself is able to finish but it seems i am hitting OK a lot on the error window to get thru the sim.

Do the league and/or player ERA numbers look off? That error sounds like the game is trying to assign credit for an earned run but can't pin down the pitcher of record for the runner. Could be that it's failing and those earned runs are just going unassigned, at least at the player level.

Pick a team and sum the earned runs, then compare it to the team stats page. They should match (assuming you haven't made any trades yet; that would make it harder).

I am trying to get my league files posted to the support website for viewing. Hopefully they can tell me what is going on.

As of right now, I cannot connect to the support page.
