OOTP 4, I think. It's been a long time!

Season Ticket Baseball 2003 (still have the box). It came out in 2002 and corresponded to OOTP 4. Before that I was playing Ernie Harwell's Baseball for Windows. That was a good game, but OOTP was so much better! I finally found the ultimate baseball game after years of searching.

Been with OOTP since OOTP '99....the first version
My claim to fame is that I supplied Markus with a copy of that version a few seasons ago, since he had lost it!....... |

The annual "So, how long have YOU been playing OOTP?" thread
This version is my first time buying. Yet to play it yet. Damn life getting in the way.

Your other claim to fame is being part of one of the most recognized online leagues in the OOTPuniverse. COUGH COUGH. But your team is like mine....it sucks.

Not long for me. I started only about four or five years ago with the free version of OOTP 5. Being completely new to baseball, I never really got into it. A little bit later, I went and got OOTP X, but still couldn't quite get into it. So I skipped OOTP 11 and 12, and then updated to OOTP 13. My inability to get into the game continued, until the announcement of Franchise Hockey Manager came and eased the sadness that we don't have a hockey game as good as OOTP. That relief, combined with enlightenment from MLB 13: The Show, I'm now addicted to OOTP 13.
Long story short, I've played OOTP 5, OOTP X, and OOTP 13, all in the last five years or so. |

Started with Season Ticket 2003, then didn't get back into it till 8. Since then I think I missed just one year.

Version 8 was my first taste of OOTP, now I can't stop snacking on it everyday.
I remember seeing Season Ticket Baseball in a store way back when, and it looked interesting, but I didn't buy it. I had just purchased v7 of DMB and figured I didn't need another baseball game...man was I wrong |

I purchased OOTP2 and have purchased every version since. This game and Civilization have given me literally thousands of hours of pleasure since I first discovered them. My level of productivity and social interaction take about a two month hit after either of the games comes out.

Tough one to start with. It lead to the great game we now have, but there were so many issues with it. Still, it was a good game.

been simming baseball via card and dice games in the 70s and 80s to PC games in the 80s and 90s - been pretty much pure OOTP ever since. best game ever and isnt even close
