... Right, Todd? I'm still on TBCB1 for the immediate future, too. In the process of moving one state over to "The Show-Me State," so Internet access will be touch-and-go for a while. Hang in there, man.

Maybe you'll have a better handle on him after he fights for a title?

I've seen 3 of Kameda fights on tape - He is definitely for real - Tons of talent (though he really hasn't been hit yet...so his chin is still a question mark??)

He is fighting for the vacated R. Vasquez WBA Jr. Fly Title next month Vs Juan Landaeta -

R. Vasquez is moving up to Fly Wt to take on L. Parra (which should be another excellent match-up).

Some excellent matchups amongst the FLY's in the next few months. Meade what do you think of the SW fight that Niida will be having this fall?

What about Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero? As I recall, he's rated as a 4 @ FW. Seems like he's better than that now.

Oh yeah,Kalambay, what a slick fighter. He made some very good fighters look like they were lost in the ring. I think he is one of the guys that you hardly hear mentioned when talking about some of the great fighters of recent years. He is one of the underrated fighters in recent memory. He may not have been the most exciting fighter, but anyone who stepped in the ring with him knew they were in for a very long night.

* I keep mentioning him to Hall of Fame voters. He did defeat McCallum and several other middleweights of the era. He was my favorite Middleweight of all time.

Thanks for "The Ghost" IceTea.

I think I saw Sumbu in one fight against Nunn where Nunn took him out with one punch.

The was the first, last, and only time that he got stopped. When I look at a figher's career, I take the best and the worst fight and toss them out. What is left is what you got.

True, it was shocking because I can't recall Nunn taking out too many people like that. He was just a tall, lefty boxer mostly.

I have set this fighter to retirement since he hasn't been in the ring for two years.

I rated him last July, this is an update with some tinkering.

Not sure who rated this one but all I did was fill out some of the fighters info. I didn't tweak any ratings.

What did you like about Kalambay? I was curious, because I didn't think we had too much exposure to him over here in the United States. Besides his fights against McCallum and Nunn, I don't know anything about him and haven't seen much written about him, either.

Look at the fighters on his record. He did defeat McCallum when the "body snatcher" was in his prime. McCallum is a hall of famer. His only bad fight was the one against Nunn. I've read several stories about him over the years. Do a G-search, it is all there. He is now a trainer in Italy. He has the heavyweight P. Vidoz.
